Melissa Bradford Muller
Melissa Bradford Muller is a partner in the firm. She began practicing law in October 2000. Melissa graduated from the University of Memphis in 1996 with a B.A. (
summa cum laude) in Political Science and received a Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphrey's School of Law in 2000. As a law student Melissa was a member of the Moot Court Board and a staff member on the University of Memphis School of Law, Law Review. Melissa is the author of Secured Transactions: Computer Technology v. Revised Article 9's Creation of 'Control' as a Means to Perfecting a Security Interest in Electronic Chattel Paper, 31 U. Mem. L. Rev. (Spring 2001). Melissa was a Cecil C. Humphrey's Fellow and completed an internship with the Honorable Janice M. Holder, current Tennessee Supreme Court Justice, in 1998.
As a practicing attorney, Melissa has been involved in defending indigent clients through the Nashville Pro Bono Association, has provided pro bono services to victims of domestic violence in Williamson County, Tennessee through a domestic violence shelter and program and has participated in the Davidson County Highschool Mock Trial Competition.
Melissa focuses her practice in the areas of professional malpractice, insurance defense, insurance coverage, premises liability, general civil litigation and appellate practice. Melissa has spoken before professional groups on the subjects of appellate practice and insurance.
Melissa is currently a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute. Melissa is licensed to practice in Tennessee State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee and the United States Supreme Court and has practiced in Missouri state court.
