William R. Meyer was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee during a ceremony held at the Howard K. Baker, Jr. United States Courthouse in Knoxville, Tennessee on October 16, 2009.Melissa Bradford Muller represented Howard Tate at the Defense Research Institute (DRI) annual meeting in Chicago, IL. in October. DRI is an international organization of attorneys defending the interests of business and individuals in civil litigation. Melissa is a member of DRI's Insurance Law, Product Liability and Appellate Advocacy committees.
William H. Tate was recently nominated to be a Member of the Council on Litigation Management (CLM). This international organization is a nonpartisan alliance of thousands of insurance companies, corporations, general counsel, risk managers, claims adjusters and attorneys who seek to promote and further the highest standards of litigation management in pursuit of client defense.
Alan Sowell was recently accepted as a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association. This is the only organization devoted exclusively to the defense of the trucking industry.
